The club does not have a specific academy, but they have a reserve team, the ‘Polokwane City FC reserves’. They play in a league called the ‘Diski Challenge’ which is a league wherein all teams that play in the top flight play in. it is strictly for players under 23 years old, there is a discretion for first team players to play in the league and gain match fitness
The coach of the team is Boy Gcabashe, who was appointed in September.
